I stayed there in Feb this year and loved it there. I was a female traveling alone and always felt safe there. It's an easy walk to the stairs on Madera that take you right to MJ's. I would not hesitate to stay there again. Besides, it was LadyM who took me there. You can't get a better recommendation than that. Let me know if you would like pictures.
