Amen Rob. Hiaasen has seen what unconstrained development has brought to both Florida coasts, and writes about it in a humorous, albeit painfully truthful way.
What's happening on the Gatas and Ropa doesn't bode well for the rest of the undeveloped area surronding the bay. I heard the other day that they are planning on paving the road from the Airport along Playa Blanca all the way to Potosí, so look for some overdevelopment there too.
