La Quinta Troppo & Villa Carolina are both great choices. They are situated almost next to each other, so their proximity to the beach is virtually equal.
LQT is more of a bed & breakfast where VC is a "boutique" suites hotel. At VC, all of the suites have fully equipped kitchens.
We have stayed at the Villa Carolina for 2 consecutive years and are returning for our 3rd in less than 4 weeks & can't wait! We like having the kitchen for morning coffee, poolside lunches, snacks, cervesas, etc.
They are both equally luxurious, it just depends on the amenities that you're looking for.
