Yesterday was the final day for the annual Torneo de Pez Vela. Overall first place went to local resident Jorge Alberto Blanco Leyva for a 43.2-kilo sailfish. 2nd and 3rd places went to a norteamericano (the same person won two cars), as well as the prize for first place marlin (115.5 kilos). First place for dorado (only one was caught) went to another Mexican, Roberto Martínez.
Much of the town found themselves partying on the pier yesterday, and it sure looked like everyone was having a great time.

It was also the 16th anniversary for Lupita and me of our love-at-second-sight encounter at the pier in '89. ;~)
